UAV event in Ukraine on Mon 12th October 2026

On 12 October 2026, Russian forces carried out drone strikes on the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv (coded to Kyiv - Darnytskyi, Kyiv). During the daytime attack, drone debris fell on three private houses and a warehouse. In a separate evening attack after 19:00, a Russian drone struck a 25-story residential building at the level of the 12th to 16th floors, causing fires in apartments and parked vehicles. A 59-year-old woman and another person whose body was found in a vehicle near the building were killed. At least 7 people were injured, among them a 17-year-old girl, suffering shrapnel wounds, bruises, and cuts. At least 12 cars and 2 motorcycles were destroyed.
