According to a local source, three civilians were killed and two injured when military council forces carried out a bombing attack using a suicide drone against civilians harvesting rice near Lwe Htwe Village in Loikaw Township, Karenni State.

On October 24, military council forces based at the Regional Military Command Headquarters (DKSA) in Loikaw launched a bombing attack using a suicide drone against innocent civilians who were harvesting rice near Lwe Htwe Village, a Pa-O village located on the eastern side of Loikaw City. As a result, three innocent civilians were killed and two injured.

“The people were harvesting rice because it was harvest time. They deliberately bombed and killed innocent civilians. That Lwe Htwe village is right near the Loikaw city entrance signboard. It is close to the DKSA headquarters. The drone was launched from inside that DKSA compound. Recently, kamikaze drones have been used extensively in attacks in Karenni,” a local source told Yangon Khit Thit News.
