On 6 October 2021, near Myin Tan Kyay village of Tabayin township (Shwebo district, Sagaing region), a local PDF group attacked about 50 military soldiers travelling to nearby villages with remote-controlled explosives. The local PDF reported that 2 military soldiers died and three were severely injured.
