Village administrator San Win, who was collecting military service fees in Sintgaing Township, and his follower Thu Rein were shot and killed

Yangon, October 26

A responsible official from the Naga Ni Guerrilla Force (Myingyan) told the Khit Thit Media that San Win, the administrator of Nabei Pin Village, who had been collecting military service fees for the terrorist military in Sintgaing Township, Mandalay Region, and his follower Thu Rein, were shot, and both were killed.

At around 7:00 a.m. on October 23, while lists were being compiled inside a Wi‑Fi shop near the monastery in Nabei Pin Village, Sintgaing Township, for the purpose of collecting military service fees, comrades from the Naga Ni Guerrilla Force (Myingyan) entered and opened fire on the village administrator and three followers, it is understood.

During the attack, San Win, the administrator of Nabei Pin Village, and Thu Rein, who had previously served as a disciple of Pauk Ko Taw, died on the spot at the scene. In addition, Zaw Lin Aung, a follower of the administrator, was injured and was sent to a hospital for treatment.

It is reported that more than one hour after the attack occurred, members of the State Administration Council forces arrived in a vehicle and collected the bodies.

"We would like to issue a warning so that people do not continue carrying out military conscription recruitment according to the military's wishes. We want to inform them that administrators will be targeted as military objectives," a responsible official from the Naga Ni Guerrilla Force (Myingyan) said.

The attack was carried out by the Naga Ni Guerrilla Force (Myingyan), and it is understood that the announcement was released somewhat late because measures had to be taken to allow the ground-based UG comrades to withdraw safely.
