On 6 October 2021, near 3 Maing village in Takaung town (coded as Takaung) (Thabeikkyin township, Pyinoolwin district, Mandalay region), the Thabeikkyin and Tigyaing PDF attacked military convoys travelling from Tigyaing to Thabeikkyin with remote-controlled explosives. A PDF member reported that a military truck was damaged and about 30 military troops were injured.
