Kadè Village Monastery damaged after three gyrocopters from Myeik Air Base dropped bombs

Tanintharyi, October 23

According to a statement released today (October 23) by Myeik District Battalion No. 1, three gyrocopters from the Air Force under the terrorist military, based in Myeik Township, Tanintharyi Region, dropped bombs on Kadè Village Monastery and the Kadè Junction in Palaw Township.

Myeik District Battalion No. 1 stated that the terrorist military bombed Kadè Village and Kadè Junction despite there being no fighting, causing damage to religious buildings, including the monastery.

A spokesperson responsible for information for Myeik District Battalion No. 1 said:

“On the 19th, a unit under the KNDO attacked the Palaw Police Station. Police Sergeant Maung Naing and Deputy Police Captain Min Min Tun, the two of them, were killed. Unable to let that go, they came and dropped bombs with three gyrocopters. Kadè has long been a ruined village.”

Previously, on February 16, 2023, the terrorist military burned down and destroyed no fewer than 50 houses in Kadè Village, Palaw Township.

Myeik District Battalion No. 1 has warned civilians to take special care to avoid airstrike dangers and not to remain inattentive or careless.
