Air Delivered event in Sagaing, Kun Chan area, Myanmar on Tue 20th October 2026

In Sagaing Region, six women, including children, were killed because the military junta forces carried out an aerial bombing attack on Kwan Chaung Village in Budalin Township at about 2:30 p.m. on October 20, according to local residents and officials from the township People's Administration Team.

It is said that the military attacked Kwan Chaung Village from the air on two occasions, using one gyrocopter from the military's Northwestern Regional Military Command based in Monywa and one suicide drone.

A resident of Kwan Chaung Village said:

“Initially, they dropped bombs from a gyrocopter. Afterwards, they dropped more bombs with a suicide drone. In total, they carried out two aerial bombing attacks. Because of those attacks, a total of six people were killed: four members of one family and two sisters. I don't know what information they received. There was no fighting on the ground at all, yet they came and attacked without any reason.”

It is understood that Kwan Chaung Village is located on the bank of the Chindwin River in the southwestern part of Budalin Township, and is also the nearest village to a military base where Na Ma Kha (Northwestern Regional Military Command) troops are stationed.

An official from the Budalin People's Administration Team said:

“They came and dropped them at midday. The list submitted to me reports that those killed were one 13-year-old, one 15-year-old, two 17-year-olds, one 22-year-old, and one 40-year-old.”

It is also reported that on October 12, the military junta forces carried out an aerial bombing attack on Salone Village, resulting in the deaths of two civilians.
