SAA event in Lebanon on Mon 5th October 2026

On 5/10/2026, an armed clash occurred in the Al-Malloula area – Tripoli, involving gunfire.

In response, army units conducted raids in the area and arrested 6 citizens who were the shooters, and seized a quantity of weapons and military ammunition. Follow-up efforts are underway to arrest the remaining individuals involved in the clash.

An army unit also raided a room used for manufacturing drugs in the town of Dar al-Waasa – Baalbek, and seized a large quantity of them, in addition to raw materials for their production.

Another unit raided the homes of wanted individuals in the Hayy al-Salam area – Southern Suburbs and Qab Elias - Bekaa, and arrested 5 citizens and a Syrian for firing shots, seizing weapons, military ammunition, a quantity of drugs, in addition to military equipment.

Other units also arrested 51 Syrians in the border projects area of Al-Qaa – Hermel, for entering Lebanese territory illegally. The seized items were handed over, and investigations have begun with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
