On 4 October 2021, in War Dat Kwin village of Thein Za Yat town (coded as Thein Za Yat) (Kyaikto township, Thaton district, Mon state), a telecom tower operated by the military-owned company MyTel was bombed and destroyed. The Thein Za Yat PDF later claimed the responsibility for the act. There were no casualties.
