On 3 October 2021, near Kan U village (Yesagyo Township, Pakokku District, Sagaing Region), an unknown armed group ambushed a Myanmar military convoy using landmines. Casualties unknown. Afterwards, the military arrived at a clinic located between Kan U and Min village where they indiscriminately fired gunshots, forcing villagers to flee.
