Port La Bar, 16 October, Namkham
According to local residents, a shooting occurred in Namkham, a town controlled by the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), and a woman was injured.
At around midday on 16 October, a woman was shot and wounded inside Namkham Central Market.
A local man said:
"She is Chinese. It happened right in front of her shop. This is the second time she has been shot. I think there may be some kind of dispute between them. The shooter fled and it is not yet known who he was. She was hit in the mouth, arm, and abdomen."
According to reports, the injured woman is Ma Mary, aged 39, and she is currently receiving treatment at Namkham Public Hospital.
Another man said:
"We still do not know whether they had a dispute or what kind of grudge existed between them. Right now, nothing can be asked of her at the hospital."
Shwe Phee Myay reported that it is continuing to investigate the incident.
At present, the Ta'ang Police Force is reportedly still searching for the man who carried out the shooting of the woman.
