Fighting breaks out between revolutionary forces and the terrorist military stationed at the Regional Police Headquarters and ECO in Monywa

According to a statement released today (15 October) by Battalion 3 of the Monywa District People's Defence Force, the terrorist military stationed at the Regional Police Headquarters and ECO (Economics University) in Monywa, Sagaing Region, returned fire with artillery and paramotors after being attacked with rockets.

The attack was carried out yesterday (14 October) in the afternoon by members of Monywa District Battalion 3, who used ten rockets with a range of two miles that had been manufactured by their unit, targeting the terrorist military at the Monywa University of Economics and the Regional Police Headquarters.

A responsible official from Monywa District Battalion 3 said:

"On their side, two paramotors came up from the Monywa Na Ma Kha headquarters. The artillery unit at Kyauksitpon returned fire with four howitzer rounds. They also returned fire from inside the ECO school."

During the exchange of fire, Artillery Battalion 508 (AmaTa 508) under the terrorist military fired five howitzer rounds and also returned fire with 60 mm weapons.

In addition, the terrorist military used paramotors to drop bombs along the withdrawal routes of the People's Defence Force fighters. However, according to the official from Monywa District Battalion 3, there were no casualties among either civilians or the People's Defence Force fighters, and all were safe.

The attack was carried out by Battalion 3 of the Monywa District People's Defence Force.
