Air Delivered event in Ohn Taw area, Myanmar on Sun 18th October 2026

Mizzima - In Pakokku Township, Magway Region, the military junta carried out an aerial bombing attack on Ohn Taw Village using a gyrocopter, killing five local residents, including a child, and injuring four others, according to the Pakokku Township Humanitarian and Disaster Management Department.

The military junta reportedly carried out the bombing attack on Ohn Taw Village at around 4:30 p.m. yesterday (18 October) using three gyrocopters.

As a result of the attack, four women and one man, including a child, were killed, while two women and two men were injured, Ko Soe Htut Win, head of the Pakokku Township Humanitarian and Disaster Management Department, told Mizzima today (19 October).

“Among the deceased was a child. The others included an elderly husband and wife,” he said.

A person who visited the site also wrote on his social media page today that the deceased child was eight years old.

Ko Soe Htut Win also said that there had been no fighting in the village before the attack and that, in addition to the gyrocopters, it was believed that the military also carried out a further attack using suicide drones launched from Military Division (101).

At present, the military is also conducting operations along the border area between Pakokku Township and Myaing Township.

It is reported that between 800 and 1,000 local residents were forced to flee urgently due to a military column that began advancing into Kamma Town, Pakokku Township, on 17 October. The military column is currently said to be in the area of Makyee Tan and Inbat Village, located between Kamma and Myaing.

The military had also carried out an airstrike on Thitgyi Taw Village in Yesagyo Township, Magway Region, on 16 October, killing 12 local residents, including two children.
