Undefined Explosive Device (UED) event in Odesa area, Ukraine on Sun 18th October 2026

On the afternoon of October 18, a residential building in Odessa was damaged by a Russian attack . An explosion was heard in the city before that, and the Ukrainian Air Force warned of a drone moving towards Odessa. Two people were injured, including a child .

The damage to the house was reported by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Serhiy Lysak.

UPDATED. 14:32. Law enforcement officers have launched an investigation into the Russian attack on a 19-story apartment building in Odessa on October 18, the prosecutor's office reported . The impact injured a 13-year-old girl who was hospitalized in moderate condition.

UPDATED. 14:22. Two attic apartments and a rooftop boiler room were partially destroyed as a result of the impact. The roof of a 19-story building was also damaged, the OVA said .

Medics are providing necessary assistance to the injured 13-year-old child.

UPDATED. 12:49. Two people were injured, including a child aged 13–14, reported the head of the OVA, Oleg Kiper.

UPDATED. 12:47. The attack caused a fire on the roof, and the apartments on the upper floor were also damaged, said the head of the MVA, Serhiy Lysak.

One injured person is known to be a 13-year-old girl. Medics are providing her with the necessary assistance.

According to him, Russian troops attacked Odessa. A residential building was damaged as a result of the strike.

An air alert was declared in the Odessa region at 12:01 due to a missile threat. At 12:01, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of the movement of a drone towards the city.
