On the morning of October 19, Russian troops attacked the Dnipro with guided aerial bombs, injuring an 84-year-old woman, destroying a house, and damaging about three dozen others.
A resident of the destroyed house, 73-year-old Valentyna, told Suspilny that the explosion created a crater, and she herself was under the rubble. According to her, the house was divided into two halves, she lived in one, and her son in the other.
"My son Serhiy came to pull me out, the ceiling fell on me. It's a good thing I was lying on my side, otherwise I would have been crushed. I'm okay... It happened around 5 am, I was sleeping. I hear a whistle, a hum, and then the ceiling is on me. There was room to the back of the sofa, so I crawled over so I could breathe. And then my younger son came. He spread everything out and pulled me out," she said.
Neighbor Valentyna Natalia was at home with her 10-year-old daughter and parents, 65 and 67 years old.
"A buzzing sound, it fell, an explosion. The child was grabbed. The next explosion — windows flew out, the kitchen and bathroom were falling apart. They took the documents and started to climb out. They came out — shock. The child was taken to a safe place. She is more worried because the dog and cat are missing... Half of the house is gone, only repairs were done. In an instant, everything fell apart. Thank God we are alive. What emotions? There is no more anger. Confusion, what to do next," she said.
The woman added: the door on her father's side was locked. The father was at work, and they helped the mother out.
An 84-year-old woman was injured in the attack. Her daughter-in-law Kateryna noted that her mother-in-law was only discharged from the hospital last Wednesday, and she is bedridden.
"The explosion, my husband and I couldn't get out because the door was jammed. My husband got out through the window, and I couldn't. Then people helped open it, we went to her, called an ambulance... She (my mother-in-law - ed.) woke up from the explosion, but didn't understand anything. She was lying in a corner... We were getting out, there was another explosion, something fell on my head, it was dark," the woman said.
She added: there is no summer kitchen, the garage was also damaged, and the fence on the border with the neighbor was blown away.
