Two women were arrested by the Monterrey Police after assaulting a man in a public area in the city center to steal the cash he was carrying. The incident took place at the intersection of Cuauhtémoc and Ruperto Martínez, where 40-year-old Marlen “N.” and 29-year-old Johana “N.” were apprehended. The suspects were spotted via the C4 security camera monitoring system as they were assaulting the man in the street. Following the assault, both women left the scene but were intercepted by municipal police officers a short distance away. The 55-year-old victim stated that he was waiting for a bus at the intersection when the women suddenly approached, began assaulting him, and demanded his belongings—ultimately taking 580 pesos in cash. The women were taken to the Monterrey Police facility and placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
