Police explosives technicians seized an unexploded 90-kilogram warhead from a Russian drone that hit the territory of a private house in the Desnyanskyi district of Kyiv.

As Ukrinform reports, this was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv .

A 14-year-old resident of a neighboring house reported the dangerous find.

During the inspection of the scene, law enforcement officers found that the Geran-5 drone damaged the roof and brick walls of a one-story building, and the warhead weighing about 90 kilograms was stuck in the ground. The ammunition was also equipped with ready-made fragmentation elements.

No people were injured, the police emphasized.

According to experts, if detonated, the explosion could have caused the destruction of this building and neighboring buildings within a radius of about 50 meters.

Explosives technicians defused the warhead and transported it to a temporary blasting site for further destruction.

As Ukrinform reported, five people have been killed and 36 injured in a Russian attack in Kyiv since the evening of October 13 .
