UAV event in Sarny area, Ukraine on Sun 11th October 2026

During the night and first half of the day, the enemy attacked the Sarny district with drone strikes. Three people were injured in the attack: a 34-year-old and a 33-year-old man, as well as a 43-year-old woman.

The victims were diagnosed with shrapnel wounds and stab wounds. After providing the necessary medical care, they were released.

The shock wave also damaged residential buildings, utility rooms, and an institution.

In addition, a 13-year-old boy who was injured by a UAV died in hospital yesterday. Doctors fought for his life for almost a day. According to preliminary information, the boy was on the street with other children, so they suffered the most.

A 12-year-old girl and a 32-year-old woman who underwent surgery remain in the hospital. Their lives are not in danger.

At the scene, police are assisting people, conducting evacuations, and ensuring that people are not allowed to enter the impact area. Explosives disposal technicians are examining the scene and removing debris.

SBU investigators in the Rivne region, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office, are conducting a pre-trial investigation under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - war crimes.

Residents of the region continue to find fragments of drones shot down by air defense forces. Among them are unexploded elements that pose a danger.

Police officers urge citizens to be careful: if you discover a suspicious object, do not approach it and immediately report the find to the 102 hotline.
