Projectile event in Sagaing, Kyawt Min area, Myanmar on Fri 9th October 2026
9th October 2026
It is reported that on October 9 and September 27, soldiers stationed at a military checkpoint located at the Myaung road junction in Myinmu Township fired artillery toward Kyawt Min Village.
“On October 9, they fired three artillery shells despite there being no fighting. Because of the military's artillery fire, the shells landed in the forest rather than inside Kyawt Min Village. On that day, there were no civilian injuries and no damage to homes. However, on September 27, when they fired one artillery shell, 57-year-old Daw Sein Hnin from Kyawt Min Village suffered a severe leg injury. There was also damage to homes, but the number is still being investigated and is not yet known,” said an official from the T.G.R. News and Information Team of Myaung Township.
According to resistance forces, the terrorist military is currently continuing ground offensives and airstrikes against areas under the control of resistance forces.
