[O]n September 24, resistance forces carried out a sniper attack against the Bhummati military camp in Htantabin Township, killing two soldiers.
A responsible official from the Special Guerrilla Force stated:
“In the attack on the military column transporting supplies from Zayatgyi 73 to the Thabye Nyunt camp, at least 15 soldiers were killed and there were also wounded personnel. We also carried out a second sniper attack against the Bhummati camp, in which two soldiers were killed. None of our resistance fighters were injured.”
The attacks were jointly carried out by the Special Guerrilla Force, operating under KNLA Brigade 2, and the Kyimyindaing People's Defence Team (Yangon). It is reported that all resistance fighters were able to withdraw successfully without casualties.
