On October 10, four militants of Kuki National Liberation Army (KNLA) were killed in an encounter at the adjoining area of B Gamnom village and NP Khollen under Thoubal Dam (Maphou) Police Station (PS) in Kangpokpi District in Manipur, reports E Pao. According to sources, during a cordon and search operation, a ‘chance encounter’, led to the killing of four armed militants who were dressed in combat dresses. Four AK series assault rifles and ammunition were recovered from the encounter site.
