On 8 October 2026, at around 10:00am, Russian forces carried out an air strike with a UMPB D-30 SN glider bomb at two passenger buses in the center of Kramatorsk city, Donetsk. As a result of a direct strike, 30 civilians were killed and 21 more injured. Also, several nearby residential buildings were damaged. In a separate event, in the evening, a Russian drone struck a civilian car, killing 2 more civilians. Moreover, 4 apartment buildings, 1 private house, 2 buses (destroyed), an enterprise building, and 5 cars were damaged. Due to Russian strikes, a Day of Mourning was declared in Kramatorsk.
