UAV event in Ukraine on Mon 5th October 2026

On 5 October 2026, Russian forces carried out multiple guided aerial bomb and drone attacks on the Slobidskyi and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv, Kharkiv. During the day, 3 guided aerial bombs struck the Slobidskyi district, hitting residential areas and civilian facilities, including a sewing workshop, killing 6 civilians, including 2 women and 4 men, and injuring dozens of others, including 11- and 15-year-old girls and a 15-year-old boy. Of the injured, 30 were hospitalized, including 3 in extremely serious condition. Russian forces also carried out separate drone attacks on the Kyivskyi district, including a strike on a gas station and an evening attack that injured and hospitalized a civilian. The attacks damaged around 45 vehicles, warehouses, 2 civilian enterprises, apartment buildings, and private houses. In total, 66 civilian casualties were reported, including 6 fatalities and 60 injuries.
