On August 18, a vehicle carrying members of the defunct Aman Lashkar hit a roadside remote-controlled bomb in Gumadand area (Upper Dir, KP) killing at least 4 members of the Aman Lashkar and injuring at least 17 others including 3 police personnel. While the KP Information Minister claimed that the motive behind the blast was a property dispute among tribal leaders, the victims reported that they had been receiving death threats from militants.
