On 6 October 2026, evening, around 21:10 Muscat time, suspected Iranian forces (coded as IRGC by default) launched 1 unknown projectile (coded as air/drone strike based on previous activity) that directly impacted the ST1 crude oil tanker (IMO: 9256999) around 2 nm off the coast of Oman near Jazirat Abu Sir (coded to Coast of Jazirat Abu Sir) (Khasab, Musandam) while transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The ship was struck in the port aft quarter, resulting in a loss of power. There were no casualties.
