On 3 October 2026, night, around 1:40 am Muscat time, suspected Iranian forces (coded as IRGC forces by default) launched an unknown projectile (coded as air/drone strike based on previous activity) that directly impacted the Promise crude oil tanker (IMO: 1038896) around 4 nm east of Oman (coded to Coast of Shisah) (Khasab, Musandam) while transiting the Strait of Hormuz outbound, striking its port side. There were no casualties.
