On 25 September 2021, Houthi forces launched a ballistic missile on a pro-Hadi weapons warehouse and another on the nearby house of the Hadi governor of Marib -- Major General Sultan al Arada -- in Kara (Marib seriously damaging the house as well as other nearby houses and the local Kara hospital. While initial reports claimed 25 fatalities and injuries, later accounts reported that there were no fatalities.
