On 25 September 2021, Houthi forces launched a ballistic missile targeting a gathering of civilians, military leaders, and officials -- including the Hadi governor of Hajjah -- celebrating the 59th anniversary of the 26 September Revolution in Midi city (Hajjah). While initial reports claimed between 5 fatalities and 17 injuries, including journalists, local authorities later reported 12 fatalities, including 3 military and security officials.
