On 8 October 2026, JNIM claimed that an IED planted by the group hit a military vehicle belonging to a 'militia' allied with the Malian army (likely Dan Na Ambassagou, based on their presence and previous clashes between the two groups in the Socoura commune) near Baima (Socoura, Mopti, Mopti). Casualties unknown.
