On 4 October 2026, overnight, the Ethiopian Air Force (ENDF) conducted drone strikes targeted at TDF and TPLF officials in the Soloda and Segenet Hotels in Adwa town, Adwa (Central Tigray, Tigray). 5-9 people were killed, including security guards in addition to the armed security personnel, and 3 other people who were being treated at the hotel were injured in the drone strike and taken to a medical facility. Some sources said that the TPLF Chairman Debretsion Gebremichael and other senior leaders of the group were in the hotel before the strike and that those killed in the attack were members of their security guards.
