On 25 September 2021, unidentified forces conducted drone strikes on Giants Brigade forces in Qarn al Kulasi (Khanfir, Abyan), where they act as a buffer between STC and pro-Hadi Islah-affiliated forces, killing and injuring several Giants Brigade soldiers. Unclear fatalities coded as 10. Although the perpetrator of the attack is unknown, the source hinted that it could be attributed to STC forces.
