SAA event in Punjab, Rajoke, Tarn Taran District area, India on Fri 2nd October 2026
2nd October 2026
The Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead two suspected Pakistani nationals while foiling an alleged infiltration attempt near Rajoke village along the International Border (IB) in Tarn Taran District on October 2, reports The Times of India. BSF sources said troops challenged the two men after spotting them attempting to cross into India, but they continued moving forward, prompting the personnel to open fire. Their identities had not been established at the time of reporting. Security agencies were investigating whether they were armed or had entered India for a specific assignment or to establish contact with local associates. Some BSF officials suspected that the two men may have been on a suicide mission, although they stressed that this was only a preliminary assessment. Sources also said another intruder turned back towards Pakistan after coming under fire.
