UAV event in Colombia on Mon 5th October 2026

A drone attack early Monday morning, October 5, damaged the police station in Aguachica, Cesar, and left at least one person injured. Explosives dropped by the drone struck the station, causing significant damage to the building and its communications systems. Preliminary reports indicate the injured person was one of the detainees being held there. Several detainees are reported to have escaped during the attack. Authorities are conducting a headcount to establish how many fled. National Army units were deployed to support the police. A security perimeter is in place as forces search for those responsible and for anyone who may have escaped.
