On 27 September 2021, in Kone Thar village (Demoso township, Loikaw district, Kayah state), a funeral vehicle hit and damaged by a landmine while transporting a grandfather who was shot dead in the chest during the clashes between the KA and the military to the cemetery. The KNDF claimed that the landmine was planted by the military. There were no casualties.
