Htoo Khant Zaw (A May Thar), communication officer for the Ye-U Township West Zone, told Khit Thit Media that terrorist military attacks using 3 suicide drones against villages in western Ye-U Township, Sagaing Region, injured 3 civilians, including a young child.
On October 4 at around 12:30 PM, two suicide drones launched from the Northwest Regional Military Command (Na Ma Kha) in Monywa carried out 2 airstrikes near Nyaung Pin Tha, Ma Gyi Kone, and Okpho villages in western Ye-U Township. During the attack, one suicide drone fell into a farmland field between villages without exploding, causing no casualties.
During a second run around 1:00 PM that same day, a third suicide drone launched from Na Ma Kha targeted civilians inside Nyaung Zauk Village in western Ye-U Township. The strike injured 3 civilians—an 8-year-old boy, a 30-year-old woman, and a 40-year-old woman—and damaged 1 civilian home.
No fighting was taking place in the area at the time of the attacks, and the military unprovokedly targeted civilian populations. As the Military Council continuously carries out air attacks on villages in Ye-U Township using jet fighters, gyrocopters, and suicide drones, resistance forces have advised local residents and revolutionary forces to exercise extreme caution against aerial threats day and night.
