Air Delivered event in Sagaing Region, Kyunhla Township area, Myanmar on Mon 5th October 2026

Local residents told Khit Thit Media that terrorist military jet fighters launched air attacks on gold mining rafts operating inside Thapan Seik Reservoir in Kyunhla Township, Sagaing Region, for two consecutive days, killing at least 5 gold miners and injuring a large number of others.

Today, October 5, at around 4:00 PM, three terrorist military jet fighters taking off from Homalin launched air strikes targeting gold mining rafts in Thapan Seik Reservoir, Kyunhla Township.

Because the air attack took place during peak working hours when miners were gathered at the site, casualties were severe. According to reports collected so far, at least 5 gold miners were killed, while several others remain missing.

Furthermore, numerous gold mining rafts caught fire and were destroyed in the airstrike. A similar air attack was carried out on the same mining site on October 4, though it resulted in minimal damage.
