It is reported that an air strike launched by the terrorist military using jet fighters on a displaced persons camp in Ponnagyun Township, Rakhine State, this evening left 6 innocent displaced civilians dead on the spot and several others injured.

Today, October 4, at around 5:10 PM, two Military Council jet fighters successively bombed the Yoe Ngu-Bya La displaced persons camp located between Tha Yet Cho Village and Yoe Ngu Village in Ponnagyun Township.

Due to the aerial bombing attack, 6 innocent displaced civilians died on the spot, and others sustained injuries. Furthermore, numerous residential shelters and shops inside the displaced persons camp caught fire and were destroyed.

The Military Council is continuously carrying out aerial bombings targeting non-military sites where war refugees take shelter.
