Local news sources reported that an explosion occurred at an explosives warehouse stored by a Chinese businessman in La Gwe Village, Hpa Re Village Tract, Panwa Township, Kachin State, leaving 7 civilians dead and 11 severely injured.

Yesterday, October 2, at around 2:00 PM, the explosion took place between the local school and Chon Jong Guesthouse in La Gwe Village when explosives stored by a Chinese entrepreneur accidentally detonated.
