Air Delivered event in Rakhine State, Rathedaung area, Myanmar on Sat 3rd October 2026

Rakhine local news sources reported that around 1:00 AM today, October 3, the Military Council Air Force launched an airstrike using a Y-12 aircraft on downtown Rathedaung and Pyar Chaung Gyi Village in Arakha State, killing two people—including a 9th-grade student—and injuring many civilians, including a 13-year-old child.

Around 1:00 AM today, the Military Council Air Force used a Y-12 aircraft to drop approximately 8 bombs on downtown Rathedaung and Pyar Chaung Gyi Village. The bombing killed 2 people and injured 4 others. The deceased have been identified as 16-year-old 9th-grade student Ma Moe Moe Nwe from Chyuet Pyin Village, Rathedaung Township, and 70-year-old U Aung Kyaw Tha from Pyar Chaung Gyi Village.

Ninth-grade student Ma Moe Moe Nwe died on the spot in a bomb explosion near the Agriculture Office in downtown Rathedaung, while 70-year-old U Aung Kyaw Tha was killed in the bombing attack in Pyar Chaung Gyi Village, where his house was also destroyed.

Those injured in the military airstrike include 13-year-old Ma Myo Myat Khaing, 43-year-old Daw Khin Myo Than, 39-year-old U Kyaw Tun Hla, and 54-year-old U Kyaw Moe, all from Taung Yin Ward in Rathedaung Town.

Additionally, bomb explosions occurred in Taung Yin Tan and Southeast wards, as well as along the strand road in Rathedaung Town, causing injuries to civilians. Along the strand road, a goat was killed and a boat was damaged.
