UAV event in Rivne area, Ukraine on Tue 29th September 2026

After each air attack, SBU officers, investigative and operational groups of territorial police units, and experts from the police explosives service arrive at the scene. Representatives of law enforcement agencies inspect the area, identify, remove, and neutralize dangerous elements of the UAV, and ensure the safety of citizens.

In particular, today, September 29, as a result of an enemy strike, civilian special equipment was damaged and a fire broke out. The other day, a garage and an outbuilding caught fire due to falling debris.

In addition, near one of the villages of the Rivne district, wreckage of an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle "Geran-5" was discovered in a forest area, shot down by air defense forces during an air alert.

Law enforcement officers once again emphasize: if you discover suspicious objects or drone debris, do not approach them, do not touch them, and immediately report them to the hotline 101 or 102. Investigators of the SBU of the region, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office, are conducting a pre-trial investigation under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine into the facts of war crimes.
