On 2 October 2026, Russian forces launched a Molniya drone strike targeting Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv, Kharkiv, damaging a gas pipeline and injuring three people. Russian forces also struck Slobidskyi, Kyivskyi and Nemyshlianskyi districts of Kharkiv with UMPB-5 aerial bombs, killing two women (age 66 and 80), injuring 42 people, including a 15-year-old girl with acute stress reaction and 10-year-old boy with glass injury. Twenty three private houses, educational facility, office buildings, cars, electricity network are damaged.
