On 2 October 2026, afternoon, at 15:20 pm Muscat time, suspected Iranian forces (coded as IRGC forces by default) launched at least 1 drone that directly impacted the Emirates Shipping-managed Uhud oil products tanker (IMO: 9254939) while transiting the Strait of Hormuz inbound (coded to Coast of Kumzar) (Khasab, Musandam), causing a small fire and blackout onboard. There were no casualties. The drone entered the ship's funnel and dropped into the engine room where it caused the fire and a short loss of power.
