On 27 September 2026, in Hnget Chaung village (Saw township, Gangaw district, Magway region), the Myanmar military forces conducted an airstrike using a jet fighter and dropped three bombs at around 4:00 pm. The airstrike hit internally displaced persons (IDPs) taking shelter in the village, killed 2 women and injured five people, including a 10-year-old child, and destroyed at least three houses. 2 fatalities.
