On October 8, 2021, 47 persons, including 46 Hazara Shia worshipers were killed when an Islamic State -Khorasan Province (ISKP) suicide bomber detonated at Sayyidabad mosque in the Khanabad Bandar area of Kunduz city, the provincial capital of Kunduz, reports Associated Press.ISKP identified the bomber as a Uyghurs Muslim, saying the attack targeted both Shiites and the Taliban for their purported willingness to expel Uyghurs to meet demands from China.
