Meanwhile, a militant belonging to the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Reformation (NSCN-R), identified as ‘self-styled private’ Telom Hangsik (25), surrendered with arms and ammunition before the Tirap Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Tirap District of Arunachal Pradesh on October 4, reports Northeast Now. Hangsik, a resident of Old Kothung village in Lazu circle, surrendered before DC, Taro Mize, the District Police and the 6 Assam Rifles (AR). The surrendered militant deposited one pistol (.32), one live ammunition and a magazine. He had joined the outfit in May 2017.
