IED event in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Tank District area, Pakistan on Tue 29th September 2026

A suicide attacker affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij [FaH, a State term for Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and its associated groups] was killed when the explosive material he was carrying detonated prematurely while he was reportedly on his way to target a Government Patwar Khana in Tank District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on September 29, reports The Khyber Chronicles. The premature explosion resulted in the death of the attacker and prevented the planned attack from being carried out at the targeted location. The blast, however, caused damage to the surrounding area. Two residential houses adjacent to the Government Patwar Khana sustained damage, with sections of their boundary walls collapsing as a result of the explosion.
