IED event in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Tirah, Khyber District area, Pakistan on Tue 29th September 2026

Security Forces (SFs) killed eight Fitna al-Khawarij [FaH, a State term for Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and its associated groups] terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Tirah area of Khyber District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on September 29, reports The Khyber Chronicles. Acting on intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists at the location, SFs launched a coordinated operation. During the operation, the identified terrorist hideout was engaged with rocket launchers, resulting in the elimination of seven FaH terrorists, while several others were reportedly injured. During the course of the operation, a motorcycle-borne suicide bomber attempted to carry out a terrorist attack and detonated himself. A cache of arms, ammunitions and other equipment were recovered from the hideout.
