SAA event in Balochistan, Chaman area, Pakistan on Fri 25th September 2026

Pakistani Security Forces (SFs) reportedly targeted Afghan Taliban positions in the Chaman sector of Balochistan following firing from across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, Frontier Files reported on X on September 25. Multiple Afghan Taliban posts were reportedly destroyed, while several others caught fire during the retaliatory action. Initial reports claimed that 14 Afghan Taliban personnel were killed or injured, with assessment of additional casualties ongoing. The firing and subsequent exchange reportedly occurred amid heightened tensions along the border. Separately, security sources reported that Afghan Taliban fighters attempted to enter Pakistani territory in the Gulistan sector, where Pakistani forces responded and killed several Taliban personnel. Intermittent firing between the two sides was reportedly continuing, while security forces remained on alert.
