Delhi Police arrested alleged shooter associated with the Gogi–Deepak Boxer gang, identified as Mohit alias KD, and recovered two pistols, four live cartridges and a stolen motorcycle from his possession, following an exchange of fire in the Wazirabad area of New Delhi on September 24, reports The Tribune. According to police, Mohit, a resident of Gannaur in Sonepat District of Haryana, allegedly fired two rounds at a police team after being intercepted, prompting retaliatory firing in which police fired three rounds. One of the accused’s bullets struck a police official’s bullet-proof jacket, leaving him unhurt. Preliminary investigation indicated that Mohit had allegedly come to Delhi to target an associate of the Tillu Tajpuriya gang. Police said he was to meet another associate in Wazirabad who allegedly knew the target’s whereabouts, and the two were planning to reach the target’s location when he was expected to step out for a morning walk.
