On September 24, a clash broke out between leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal, affiliated with Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS), over the fresher's day celebrations at Gobindaganj Abdul Haque Smriti Degree College in Chhatak Upazila (Sub-District) of Sunamganj District, injuring at least 20 people, including pedestrians, who were injured by brickbats, reports Prothom Alo. It was reported that several cocktail explosions also occurred during the clash. This closed the Sunamganj-Sylhet road for several hours.
